5 months of living in NYC…
I moved to New York from Utah 5 months ago for dance at the age of 18.
Unfortunately dance is still online without an end in sight. But no excuses. Some day eventually the world will be open again and I need to be ready. I dance online over zoom 5 days a week 5–7 hours a day. It’s tough, it takes a lot out of you and drains you mentally. But I can say I have improved in ballet immensely.
I can’t wait to be able to dance in a studio, go to a show, eat inside, etc… This is a challenging time for everyone, I just hope it ends soon.
But here’s to a 5 month update of my life.
Nothing too exciting or crazy happened until Thanksgiving break. My best friend set me up with a guy because well I just wanted a good makeout. And it was. That night she also had a boy she had been talking to so it worked out. The next day I ended up staying the night at the boys house and ofcourse after that I definitely caught feelings. He was talking to me all day over snap and even mentioned flying to see me in NY but slowly started talking less and less to me as the day went by, come to find out my “best friend” got drunk with him kissed him (or thats what she told me) and now they’re dating.
That was the downfall and my breaking point. This had been the 3rd boy she has done this to me with so I blocked her, at this point it was better for me to not have her in my life and that was proven to be true in the next coming days.
I fly home and buckle down on losing the rest of the weight yet again. So far so good and still to this day I’m on track and doing well with it.
I started my 15 day challenge with Legendary Marketing that i’m super excited about, and started training for my new marketing job. I started my search for my own apartment, which so far I have found a beautiful studio in East Harlem. I love my new job, I work with the best people and honestly I feel like I am living in a movie. There are two guys that I work with that I find very attractive, and they’re both very fun people to be around. My boss is freaking awesome and has the cutest daughter, and yeah I love it.
I’m not really sure how this website works, but I’m going to keep writing, might go in depth to a few stories but who knows, as of right now I’m just trying all the new things.
